Inform-ED - Supporting Parents

Parents play a crucial role in every aspect of their child's educational journey. From the early years of learning to the transition into employment, parents are their child's first teachers, advocates, and support system. When our young people move into their formal education, the support and understanding of their parent plays a significant role in realising successful outcomes. Student success is proven to have strong links to parental support and involvement. Collaboration between parents, educators and students creates space for healthy communication, enhanced accountability, and holistic support.

There are a number of barriers to the parent-teacher partnership including time constraints due to busy schedules, negative relationships with the education system due to past bad experiences, or lack of confidence in supporting their child’s learning through feeling intimidated by the educational system, to name but a few.

Our ‘Inform-ED’ series provides parents with information and training to help them support their child’s mental health, wellbeing and educational journey. We empower parents, helping them to understand the pressures and stresses that our young people face in the modern world and equip them with the tools to support their child as they grow and develop into healthy, balanced young adults.
